Here Is What The Job Entails
As our new Mechanical Development Engineer you will have a key role in the design and development of mechanical solutions for Kamstrup’s advanced metering products, ensuring robustness, manufacturability, and quality throughout the entire lifecycle.
More specifically you will be:
- Designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD, we use SolidWorks
- Performing simulations both structural and moldflow analysis for your plastic designs using Moldex3D
- Working extensively with molded components as a significant portion of the parts in our products are injection-molded
- Working with prototypes in our workshop, including 3D printing, conventional machining and testing
- Taking full product ownership from concept to production, including material selection and design for manufacturing
In this role you will have the oppertunity to take full ownership of innovative mechanical designs, from concept to production, while working with cutting-edge technologies and hands-on prototyping in a global company shaping a sustainable future.
Meet your future team
With reference to our Head of Meters – Water you will join a small, dedicated team of mechanical engineers who take full ownership of designs from concept to completion. We work closely with software, hardware and physics specialists in a multidisciplinary environment that fosters innovation. Our work combines office-based design with hands-on prototyping in a well-equipped workshop featuring 3D printing, machining tools and flow benches, always supported by an experienced technician.

Less About Us, More About You
We are looking for a talented Mechanical Development Engineer with a solid understanding of mechanics and experience with mechanical simulation and testing. You thrive in an environment where you take ownership and contribute to innovative solutions.
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you:
- Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Have 2–3 years of relevant experience or are a recent graduate with strong skills
- Possess strong skills in 3D CAD design and 2D documentation
- Have knowledge of plastic materials and injection molding processes
- Have a creative, solution-oriented mindset and strong collaboration skills
As we are an international organization it is important that you are fluent in English. Proficiency in Danish is a plus.
