About the role
As the new Development Engineer in our eFX team in Copenhagen, you will be part of building a unique cloud-based foreign exchange platform. This includes automation of risk management, trading adapters, trade execution, and client-facing API solutions. Furthermore, you will support our fixed income and automation initiatives, and our digital assets area as we continue to develop our platform centred on issuance and blockchain transactions.
Your daily tasks will include all different stages of software development, including design, implementation, testing, integration, and production release. You will be involved in all steps of the process from idea through implementation and take ownership of the final product. You will be joining a team with an informal atmosphere – we have fun together while executing high priority projects while living up to clean code standards.
We offer a hybrid work model for our employees to allow for flexibility and productivity. However, we do expect you to spend most of your time in the office to build community and efficiency in the team.
What you will be working with
- Build FX trading, fixed income, and Web3 components in .NET 10 (C#)
- Modern, cloud-native Azure solutions (Kubernetes, Event Hub, Redis + more)
- Build and maintain integrations to other systems in the bank, including our core banking and payment systems
- Collaborate with our customers and internal stakeholders while building new features
- Opportunity to learn new technologies and design principles from an experienced team
Things we’ll look for on your resume
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have a minimum of few years of professional experience working with C#/.NET or other object-oriented programming languages, along with an educational background in computer science, engineering or a related field. You have experience with some of the following technologies: REST APIs, SQL, Microservices Architecture, Git and Azure DevOps. Knowledge of or interest in FX/fixed income market and/or the digital assets space is a huge plus.
You have strong analytical skills and a structured way of working, and you strive to improve your skills. You are not afraid to find yourself at the deep end of the pool, and you enjoy taking part in a team where everyone has a say and challenges each other to improve our ways of working, no matter the seniority.
As a person you are proactive, responsible, quality oriented and ambitious. You have an open mind and are eager to learn new technologies and business concepts. Furthermore, you are a dependable and knowledge-sharing team player that cooperates well at all levels in a global organization.
